PSG Prepared to Offer Mbappé Mega-Contract Worth €30 Million Per Year

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the future of Kylian Mbappé and the latest twist could see the Frenchman continue his football career at Paris Saint-Germain for the foreseeable future.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s Nicolò Schira, the capital club wants to renew Mbappé’s contract and sporting director Leonardo is preparing a five-year contract worth €30 million-plus bonuses. That amount would put him in the same stratosphere as Neymar Jr in terms of annual salary.

Schira also confirms Real Madrid’s continued interest in the 20-year-old but club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi obviously doesn’t want to sell the most coveted young player in the world.

Mbappé’s current contract runs out in 2022 and with Madrid planning a major bid next summer, per Le Parisien, a contract extension should calm Parisian nerves heading into the transfer window.

So far this season, Mbappé has scored nine goals and recorded four assists in only 11 appearances due to injury. He also scored his first UEFA Champions League hat-trick against Club Brugge.

PSG will have to hope for a successful Champions League run this season to entice Mbappé that the PSG project is worth sticking around for. If he does, it appears he will be compensated very well.
