PSG Joins Liverpool and Pack of Top Clubs Chasing Wolves Teenage Sensation

To some, Paris Saint-Germain is a club that buys the best players available and money is not an object. To supporters who actually follow the club, we know what bargain buys and finding up-and-coming talent to bring to the French capital is typically how PSG conducts business.

We’ve already seen Xavi Simons sign his first professional contract with the club, per their official website, and then there’s Adil Aouchiche, the start of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, who is already a PSG player and is expected to feature throughout the second half of the season.

Leading up to the January transfer window, there have been rumors about PSG being interested in signing Celtic FC’s 16-year-old Karamoko Dembele and AFC Ajax’s André Onana.

The latest transfer rumor involving PSG has them linked with yet another teenager. Metro reports that PSG will face competition from Liverpool, Arsenal, and Schalke to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers FC’s 18-year-old Owen Otasowie.

PSG got a first-hand look at the young defender when the U-23 Wolves side played PSG’s U-23 team. That was enough to convince them to add the teenager, who is out of contract this summer, to their wish list.

Otasowie, who can represent England, the United States, or Nigeria, on the international stage, could certainly kick-start conversations with those national teams by signing with a big club like PSG.

It will be an uphill battle for PSG to sign Otasowie. Wolves will want to keep their prized asset and can promise him first-team football. The lure of Liverpool may also entice him.

With Thiago Silva out of contract at the end of the season, PSG could use another gem of a center-back in their ranks and Otasowie could be that player.
