Friday’s 2-1 loss to Dijon FCO was a frustrating one for Paris Saint-Germain supporters to endure. The squad was coming off a beatdown of rival Olympique de Marseille and had their match against Club Brugge insight. Thus, it was a classic trap game for PSG; furthermore, the capital club was heading into Stade Gaston Gérard without Marco Verratti and Thiago Silva.
Nonetheless, going up against arguably the worst team in the league, PSG could certainly handle them without two of their best players. Well, that wasn’t the case as it showed PSG do rely heavily on those two players.
The match started well, Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring for PSG. It looked as though they’d cruise to a win; however, that wasn’t the case. Dijon would score the equalizer before the half to build confidence, which would carry over as they scored early into the second half.
PSG was unable to recover and was dealt an embarrassing loss as they head home to face Club Brugge at the Parc des Prince. Despite the defeat, here are the best photos from the match against Dijon.
