It was a less than stellar match between Paris Saint-Germain and Club Brugge. PSG had an opportunity to punch their ticket into the round of 16; meanwhile, Brugge would like to keep the pressure on C.F. Real Madrid for second place in Group A.
The lone goal of the match came at the 21st-minute mark when
Ángel Di María helps set-up a goal for Mauro Icardi, who continues his goal streak. After that, it was a quiet net in terms of goals; however, there was still some drama.
At the 73rd minute, Thiago Silva committed a foul inside the box, giving Brugge a penalty-kick opportunity. The Belgium club had a chance to tie the match and possibly walk away with a favorable result, but that wasn’t the case. In the Summer, PSG upgraded their goalkeeping, and it paid off in this match as Keylor Navas made the penalty kick save to deny Brugge a goal. The match would remain 1-0, and PSG would go on to win and clinch a spot in the Round of 16.
Now here are some of the best photos of the win.
