‘The Champions‘ is an underrated animated series from B/R Football that puts a comical twist to the latest news regarding players and teams in the UEFA Champions League.
The series, now in its third season, is a spoof off of MTV‘s ‘Real World‘, which was a reality television show where strangers lived under one roof and predictably, chaos ensued.
The latest episode of ‘The Champions’ featured Paris Saint-Germain players exclusively and drilled down on the narrative that Neymar Jr. is a delusional outcast and is hated by his teammates.
The five-minute video doesn’t portray Neymar in the best light but it’s pretty comical if you set aside your PSG/Neymar fandom before clicking play.
There are subtle jabs at Neymar throughout, including Kylian Mbappé shoving him off the sofa (a reference to an incident this season) and references to the Brazilian having an inappropriate relationship with his sister.
While Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria, Mbappé, and Keylor Navas are fed up with Neymar (in the video), Mauro Icardi comforts the Brazilian and explains he knows what it’s like to be hated by all of your teammates, a situation he knows all too well from his time with Inter Milan.
Paris Saint-Germain takes on Real Madrid on Tuesday in the Champions League and a win will clinch the top spot in Group A.
