Mbappé and Kimpembe Arrive in Style at Clairefontaine

The international break is upon us (boo!) and several Paris Saint-Germain players are reporting to their national teams. Among those players are France internationals Kylian Mbappé and Presnel Kimpembe.

Didier Deschamps called both PSG players up to the national team for the upcoming 2022 UEFA Euro qualifiers where France will play Moldova and Albania. France currently sits in second place behind Turkey in Group H and should win both games if all goes according to plan.

Turkey has a tough home match against Iceland and an easier test against Andorra. France will need them to slip up if they hope to top the group.

Mbappé has 13 goals in 33 caps for France and his inclusion was a bit of a surprise as the 20-year-old missed PSG’s match against Stade Brestois on Saturday with an injury. After the win, Thomas Tuchel confirmed that the injury wasn’t too serious and Mbappé should be able to play for France, as reported by Culture PSG.

Prior to his arrival at Clairefontaine, Deschamps spoke to the media and said that revealed that Mbappé was held out of the match against Brest as a precaution and the manager is confident he can play in France’s two upcoming games, per Culture PSG.

Kimpembe will likely start both games on the bench but that didn’t stop him from showing off some serious drip as he reported for international duty on Monday. I already need to update this article I wrote previously about the Frenchman.
