Video: Idrissa Gueye Bangs In a Goal for PSG Against Angers

Paris Saint-Germain couldn’t stop scoring Saturday night at the Parc des Princes with Angers SCO in town and it was Idrissa Gueye who scored the third goal for the reigning French champions.

Pablo Sarabia and Mauro Icardi opened up the scoring for PSG in the first half to put the hosts comfortably in the lead over second-place Angers. Gueye, who had an opportunity to score earlier, finally got a chance to get on the scoresheet and net his first Ligue 1 goal for Paris Saint-Germain.

It wasn’t the most beautiful goal you’ll ever see. The ball plays ping-pong in the box before falling to the Senegal international’s feet. The move started with Juan Bernat lifting a cross into the box to find Sarabia. The Spaniard nearly scored a wondergoal himself but it was cleared off the line and back to him. A second attempt from Sarabia fell right to Gueye who gladly put the ball into the net to put PSG up 3-0.

The former Everton FC midfielder isn’t known for his scoring but for a player with his work rate, it’s wonderful to see him celebrate a well-deserved goal in front of the home supporters.
