Neymar Announces New Website and Logo

Whether you love him or hate him, Neymar Jr. is a global brand and with that comes certain expectations. Some of them are obvious, like playing at an elite level on the pitch and being available for media appearances, and some may be aren’t as apparent, like having a slick website for your fans around the world to engage with.

On Friday, the Brazilian superstar tweeted out a video announcing his redesigned website, NeymarJr.com. The video calls the new site beautiful, functional, interactive, agile, and dynamic. After browsing the new digital home of all things Neymar, I have to agree with their description.

The site is broken into several categories including Football, Culture, Community (which promotes his philanthropic initiatives), Neymar Jr.’s Shop, and My Poster Collection. I was a little disappointed in the lack of photos of Neymar wearing a PSG shirt but you can go to the Football section and filter by PSG news to read match recaps and watch videos.

The redesigned website did reveal Neymar’s new logo. Footy Headlines had reported a few days ago that the logo would be updated and included some photos of it and those designs were confirmed with the launch of Neymar’s site.

The site also lists Neymar’s many corporate partners, which include EA Sports, Mastercard, Nike, and Beats by Dre to name a few. It very much looks like the site of a major football club and that is because Neymar actually has more social media followers than most teams, PSG included.

Now, if we can just get Neymar to help Juan Bernat get his website updated…
