For 90 minutes on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain looked like they were destined for a 0-0 draw against RC Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes. The performance was flat and PSG’s creative players were unable to break through the visitor’s compact backline. That was until Neymar Jr. pulled a wonder goal out of his bag of tricks in stoppage time to secure the three points.
It was the perfect ending for Neymar. The Brazilian was jeered with every touch by a large contingent of supporters and some even displayed banners to express their displeasure with the world’s most expensive player after a summer where he tried to engineer a transfer back to FC Barcelona. It was Neymar who would have the last laugh as even the most passionate Neymar detractor had to admit that was one hell of a goal.
