Welcome back for another season of “On the Road With Lee Davey!” If you were with us last season, you’ll remember Lee traveled to several Paris Saint-Germain matches, including the debacle against Manchester United, and captured the atmosphere in and outside the Parc des Princes. Lee is a dedicated fan and in addition to showcasing what makes the PSG experience so special, he also delivers his expert opinion on the latest results and transfer news.
On this episode, Lee starts his journey to the Parc for the season opener against Nîmes Olympique with a quick visit to the official PSG store along the Champs-Élysées. After picking up the latest Jordan Brand gear, Lee heads to the stadium to get a good seat amongst the Ultras. The walk up the stands and that first view of the luscious pitch never gets old. Before you know it, the players are walking out of the tunnel and the decibel levels increase with fans around the stadium chanting and singing.
The 3-0 win was what everyone came for but it wasn’t the main topic of conversation as fans made their way to the subway. The Neymar Jr. transfer saga continues to go on and it appears as though the Brazilian will be moved on before the end of the transfer window. Lee recaps the match and delivers his insightful thoughts on what Neymar leaving means for the club and how they can move forward.
