The 1970 Podcast: Examining PSG’s Latest Signings, New Season Expectations, and Listener Questions

New season, new podcast! If you’re a regular listener of our flagship show, PSG Talking, you likely have heard Marc Damon and Ed’s show, The 1970. We previewed a couple of episodes and now, we’re on our own. You will be able to find this show specifically on all of your favorite podcast providers (iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, etc.) and we plan to upload episodes weekly.

With that bit of business out of the way, let’s talk about the show. The 1970 will start with a discussion of the five most pressing topics surrounding Paris Saint-Germain. From there, the show will transition into a main event topic for a longer dialogue. Finally, we’ll wrap up with either our “Goober of the Week” and/or listener questions.

For this episode, we break down the signing of Idrissa Gueye who recently arrived from Everton FC and is pegged to be the answer to PSG’s long and arduous search for a quality defensive midfielder. We also discuss the signing of Abdou Diallo from Borussia Dortmund, the new Jordan Brand away kits, and the Trophée des Champions this Saturday against Stade Rennais—set your alarm clocks, it’s going to be an early kickoff for us in the United States. The episode concludes with us answering some questions via Twitter, including how PSG can keep Kylian Mbappé longterm and our favorite fast food restaurants.

As always, thank you for listening and Allez PSG!
