Two PSG Talking podcasts in the span of nine days? I think we’re starting to get the hang of this. Either that or there is so much Paris Saint-Germain news and rumor swirling around that we just have to jump in front of a microphone and talk about.
On this episode, Guillaume hosts and he’s joined by fellow PSG Talk contributor Terry. We’re also thrilled to share that Carl-Oscar Källström will be joining us on a regular basis. The trio open things up with an in-depth discussion about the 3-0 win over Nîmes Olympique and pick out the players they were most improved with. The players appear to be buying into what head coach Thomas Tuchel is teaching and the pressing after losing the ball has been very impressive.
Of course, no PSG podcast would be complete without some Neymar topics. For essentially the entire summer, the Brazilian has been angling for a move back to La Liga, FC Barcelona in particular, but neither side appears willing to meet the other halfway. PSG wants players they chose (Philippe Coutinho and Nélson Semedo) and €120 million but Barcelona want to over considerably less amount of cash and include Ivan Rakitić but PSG aren’t interested. The deal appears to be at a standoff with Barcelona pressuring Neymar to make his desire to join the Spanish giants known to PSG and supporters in hopes that will force PSG to settle.
Last Sunday, the Ultras voiced their opinion on the Neymar saga by changing vulgar messages and holding up banners telling to leave the club. It’s certainly a delicate situation but our contributors break it all down and give their opinion on how PSG can move forward with or without Neymar.
Finally, our team jumps into the transfer market and discuss potential moves as the summer transfer window comes to a close. How could the money be spent if Neymar is sold? Would Philippe Coutinho be a good addition to the squad? Should PSG look to do a deal elsewhere? We break it all down on the PSG Talking podcast.
