After a unusually quiet start to the summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain will likely announce the signing of Pepe from Real Madrid once his current contract expires. News of PSG signing the Portugal international comes amidst rampant speculation regarding the club’s transfer targets with a new player headed to the French capital every week.
I try my best to keep up with the latest team news on social media but the constant barrage of misinformation and speculation can make life difficult for a PSG supporter. Since there’s not a lot going on at the moment (other than the release of the new away kit), I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite tweets from the football Twitter abyss.

This asserted without evidence, proof, or sourcing.
Especially given the Verratti situation. Players who want to reach the pinnacle of football should think twice before going there in future.

In reference to the Marco Verratti situation, he is under contract for four more years because of his thirst for high wages…so there.
STFU U CANT WVEN AFFORD ALEXIS. What makes u think u can get Mbappe 😂 https://t.co/tJhuuYu7h9

He may need to be reminded of the difference between transfer fees and weekly wages.
PSG are ready to spend any amount to get Cristiano Ronaldo, but his priority is Manchester United. [Di Marzio] #MUFC pic.twitter.com/RlcEWQ64W6

Isn’t EVERYONE’S priority Manchester United? Also, I’m pretty sure Gianluca Di Marzio didn’t say this.
Apparently PSG want to break the transfer record to sign Mbappe.
We can hand you that cash guys, all we ask in return is a little Italian..

Be careful when you troll Barcelona FC fans, they’re on edge enough as it is.
James Rodriguez to Manchester United is imminent https://t.co/2iwG3ebZdo pic.twitter.com/dNJVQGPNnk

It’s not going to happen anytime soon.
Why would Alex Sandro go to a dead league and play for a tad average manager? Conte, PL, Chelsea win over PSG. London/Paris debatable.
— Lewis Stamford (@Granovs) June 28, 2017
Isn’t it obvious? It’s clearly for the palmier.

Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock…

Pretty sure Verratti doesn’t call it “the treble.” If he calls it anything, he would call it the “deep-lying play-maker.”
If Henrique hesitates with Aubameyang and ends up with nothing to show for it, then serious considerations must be made to fire him. #PSG

The lesson today kids is that in the end…we all lose to the Mercato.
