Paris Saint-Germain revamped their midfield last summer, with Manuel Ugarte being one of the key arrivals. The Uruguayan had an excellent start to the 2023-24 season but tailed off near the halfway mark as he’s come off the bench.
The capital club spent €60 million on Ugarte when they secured him from Sporting Lisbon while also beating out Chelsea. Nonetheless, as the summer transfer window approaches, Squawka believes that one Premier League club should be targeting the PSG midfield.
With Tottenham Hotspur unlikely to finish in the top four this season, manager Ange Postecoglou will have to go to the drawing board to improve the squad for the 2024-25 campaign.
As a result, Squawka notes that Ugarte would be a dream signing for Spurs this summer to improve the midfield position. Despite the rollercoaster season, it’s unlikely that the Ligue 1 giants will sell the player after one season.

Still, if PSG were to entertain an offer, how much would he cost? Transfermarkt puts Ugarte’s transfer value at €60 million. It could take a little more than that for the Parisans to give up on the player who, with a full offseason with PSG, can return to that level in the first half.
