Paris Saint-Germain remains searching for a central defender and it appears as though discussions with Inter Milan over Milan Škriniar are stalling. As a result, it could open the door for the capital club to pursue Sevilla’s Jules Koundé.

According to Italian football journalist Tancredi Palmeri, the standby of the sale of Skriniar is primarily due to PSG monitoring what happens for Koundé. The 23-year-old is linked to big European clubs, and the recent Ligue 1 champions could opt for the France international.

Chelsea is ahead with an offer of €60 million, Barcelona hesitates in pursuing the Sevilla star defender, and the French giants are evaluating a possible quest for bringing Koundé back to his hometown.

It will be interesting to see what sporting advisor Lusi Campos decides to do on this front, considering they aren’t willing to overspend and will shift quickly to another target as PSG did to fill the striker need on the squad, going from Gianluca Scamacca to Hugo Ekitike.
