Once Lionel Messi officially completed his free transfer move to Paris Saint-Germain, many were well looking forward to seeing him reunite with Neymar on the pitch.
The two have so far featured together in several key matches in all competitions this season, including in PSG’s UEFA Champions League home group stage win over Manchester City.
In speaking at an event of his ‘Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five,’ the Brazilian forward opened up on what it has been like to once again tag along with Barcelona’s all-time leading goal-scorer.
“I’m very happy, very satisfied having Messi at Paris Saint-Germain,” Neymar said. “A top player and a genius, he’s also my friend. And when you have friends by your side, your daily life is lighter and quieter. We hope to make history together just like we did at Barcelona.”
Neymar and Messi have several key tests upcoming with PSG, including in its upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Lille OSC and the return Champions League group stage match against RB Leipzig coming next week. Much sure will be expected out of the two to put out for standout showings in these two key matches.
