Bayern, Juventus, and PSG Interested in Signing Arsenal Defender

Signing Layvin Kurzawa to a contract extension was unexpected but it will allow Paris Saint-Germain to spend money elsewhere on much-needed positions, including right-back.

According to The Express, PSG are monitoring Arsenal FC’s Hector Bellerin who could be leaving the Gunners after the season. Along with the Ligue 1 champions, FC Bayern Munich and Juventus FC are also reportedly interested in signing the Spain international.

The reason for Bellerin’s expected departure is due to Cédric Soares signing a permanent contract with Arsenal following his season-long loan from Southampton FC. Bellerin’s injury history likely plays a major role as well as the 25-year-old suffered a significant knee injury just a little over a year ago and a hamstring injury kept him out a total of nine games this season.

With Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, needing to overhaul the entire lineup, Bellerin could be expendable as he’s one of the club’s highest earners and has been unable to contribute as much as he would like.

There’s no questioning Bellerin’s talent but you have to wonder if the injuries will start to slow him down. A previous report indicated that the cost of Bellerin could be upwards of €30 million, which is a hefty price to pay for a player with serious concerns.

I’m inclined to say this deal won’t happen but there’s no question that PSG needs to sign a right-back ahead of the 2020-21 season with only Colin Dagba and Thilo Kehrer as options.
