Di Maria Described as a ‘Zombie’ During Coronavirus Quarantine

We’re approaching three months since Paris Saint-Germain played a competitive match due to the coronavirus and like the rest of the world, being isolated has taken its toll on the players.

In a recent article from Le Parisien, the French publication revealed that many of the players have reported sleep disturbances and temporary anxiety or depression to the club doctor. Neymar Jr. apparently lost three pounds, so that’s a positive I suppose.

Unlike many other South Americans in the PSG squad who returned to their home countries, Angel Di Maria remained in Paris and last March, it was reported that his wife, Jorgelina Cardos, said that he was “not doing well” being in confinement.

Things haven’t gotten better for Di Maria and his wife now referred to her husband as a “zombie” during private conversations.

A return to training is unofficially set for June 22, which should lift the spirits of the players and fans.

A Busy Summer Planned as Paris Saint-Germain Returns to Football

There’s speculation that PSG could participate in a few friendlies in July and then in August, things pick up with the Coupe de France final, Coupe de la Ligue Final, UEFA Champions League, and the start of the 2020-21 Ligue 1 season.

Hopefully, Di Maria can shake off the zombie vibes and find his form because this season, he’s arguably been PSG’s best and most consistent player.
