Major Brands Offer Mbappé Millions to Represent Them

The profile of Kylian Mbappé has exploded since he joined Paris Saint-Germain from AS Monaco in 2017 and winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup has turned the Frenchman into an international superstar. As a result, many major brands want to attach themselves to the 21-year-old with proposals exceeding €1 million according to L’Equipe, via Culture PSG.

While many companies want to be associated with Mbappé, the young star is being very careful about who he represents. So far, the Bondy-native is only associating himself with four brands: Nike, Hublot, Bulk Homme, and Good Gout, a Chinese specialist in organic food for children.

Last summer, Mbappé was on a Nike organized tour in the United States and the PSG star made public appearances in different cities, most notably in Southern California where he played a pickup football match in Venice Beach. After that leg of the tour wrapped, Mbappé traveled to Japan to capitalize on that robust market.

Mbappé’s business savvy is beyond his years. Many brands are throwing crazy amounts of money at him but you don’t see him in all of the commercials like some other footballers with half his name recognition. He is calculated and I’m sure every deal he does has a purpose. As we’ve said on PSG Talk before, all Mbappé cares about is winning right now.

However, if PSG can capitalize on the incredible squad they’ve put around Mbappé and win the UEFA Champions League this season, I expect him to expand his portfolio.
